In 2009, pediatric therapists serving Central Florida recognized children and adults with disabilities were being left on the sidelines. Motivated by their faith, they dedicated their lives to creating a more inclusive community. In 2015, The Central Florida Dreamplex opened its doors, turning dreams into reality for extraordinary people with disabilities and their families.
The Central Florida Dreamplex offers traditional and recreational therapies, adaptive sports, education, vocational rehabilitation, and social opportunities for the whole family. Both the Clermont and Orlando sites have space for therapies, recreation, and vocational rehabilitation. Additionally, Clermont is home to the Dreamplex Therapeutic School, The Friendship Place, and an accessible and adaptive fitness center.
The Friendship Place
The mission of the Friendship Place is to share the love of God with every person we meet. To provide a place where each person is loved, not for what they can do or what they have and what they can give, but for who they are…a child of God.
The Friendship Place provides adults with developmental disabilities a safe and engaging day-time program to keep them active mentally and socially in a positive environment while providing respite to caregivers.
