Exciting NEWS! 

We have partnered with The Friendship Place located in Clermont, Florida!  Our mission includes supporting those with autism and neurologic disorders with faith based daytime enriching programs and this is marvelously exemplified by The Friendship Place. We will be providing scholarships for those individuals wishing to attend without med-waiver or financial resources to attend.

The Friendship Place attendees have direct and immediate access to physical, speech, occupational therapy services, as well as recreation and fitness programs to ensure healthy minds, bodies, and souls. Nowhere else in Florida offers such a variety of programs and services at a single location.

It is a huge blessing that Home Life Community can participate in providing this level of service to our community members that, otherwise, would not be able to attend.

MORE great news!

Home Life Community has just contracted with Sheila Coleman-Castells, a professional grant writer who will oversee program development for our Home Life Community residences!  She comes with many years of experience working in DC as well as state and local agencies.  She has a real heart for serving our population of adults with special needs and can’t wait to get started.  It’s going to be a whirlwind around our Home Life Community office as her time line…get this…is 3 years!  She says after that, the project can go stale! We will be visiting state and city agencies in a few weeks as she completes the feasibility study here in Lake County, FL.  If it turns out our project conception is met with great enthusiasm by our county, then it’s full steam ahead.  We will keep you posted.
